A photographer has captured the still beauty of the Dolomites mountain range in a stunning time lapse video.
Danish visual effect artist Casper Rolsted, 46, visited the Dolomites last summer and filmed some of the most renowned attractions such as the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and the turquoise waters of the Sorapiss lake.
Casper brilliantly captured the stillness and peace of the place, with clouds slowly seeping through the snowy peaks and silent stretches of pine forest.
Casper said: “The Dolomites are among the most beautiful mountains in the world, characterised by bold light-gray cliffs and spires flecked with snow.
“While shooting the film I experienced how quickly the weather can change in the Dolomites, from a calm sunrise to intense thunderstorm.
“The film received the staff pick badge on Vimeo and was called a ‘spellbinding series of natural landscapes’ by BBC Studios Digital.”
