A skilled chef took his marriage proposal to new heights by leading his beloved up a safari mountain top.
Loved up head chef Timothy Pietersen, 30, used his wild place of work, the MalaMala Game Reserve in South Africa, for the perfect remote backdrop to propose to his beautiful girlfriend, Celeste, 31
Timothy invited his girlfriend to the reserve for a couple of nights, who was completely unaware of his hidden intentions.
Heading to the top of Swiss Mountain, the picturesque location proved to be perfect for the romantic occasion, as Timothy had prepared a surprise romantic picnic for his partner, complete with Champagne and flowers.
As he got down on one knee and Celeste accepted, everything was filmed on drone by ranger Pieter van Wyk.
Timothy said: “It took me three months to plan the proposal.
“Celeste didn’t know anything about it. She thought she was just coming to visit me at the reserve. She thought we were just doing a hike. She was speechless when I proposed
“I was overwhelmed with joy and love and I was completely happy when she said yes.”
But after an epic mountain top proposal surrounded by the vast natural beauty of South Africa, how does Timothy plan to top it with the wedding?
Timothy said: “We are having a beach wedding with the ocean as the backdrop.”
