A handful of bored football fans put up a show by catching a live CARP from a moat around the pitch.
Earlier this month [April 7], Italian team Modena’s supporters found a unique way to kill time during their scoreless draw again local rivals Reggiana in Italy’s fifth division Serie D.
During the half-time break, the away fans were so frustrated by the lack of action in the game they decided to cast a fishing line into the ditch that separated the field from their seats.
Incredibly, they managed to pull up a huge carp in front of the 10,000 dumbfounded supporters present at the ground.
One of the fans-turned-fishermen, Matteo Sala, said: “We had been to this ground several times and we knew there were fish in the moat, so we took a rod with us.
“The whole stadium applauded us.”
