An old lady broke into tears after her son and daughter-in-law surprised her and her husband with a fully refurbished granny pad.
On March 13, Bonnie and George Miller, both 87, found out their son Schon and daughter-in-law Jeannie had turned their basement into a suite for them to live in.
Schon and Jeannie will now be able to help the old couple with everyday tasks as they will all share the same household in Bremen, Ohio.
Schon said: “We had been talking about it with mum for a while because we knew they were leaning on each other with one good body and one good mind.
“One can’t live alone without the other and we didn’t want either one to end up in a nursing home.
“When mum broke her shoulder falling, we started looking for a house that already had a finished mother-in-law suite.
“When we couldn’t find anything, we decided to blow a hole in the basement wall, get rid of our fun stuff like pool table, instruments, and karaoke area and move them in so we can take care of them.”
