This is the incredible moment a one-armed eight-year-old stunned crowds at his local little league game, smashing a grand slam home run when all the bases were loaded.
Tommy Morrissey and his teammates jumped for joy after the youngster smashed the ball over catchers in left field, allowing all four players to make it around the diamond.
The moment was captured on video by Tommy’s proud family, with his father, Joe, seen jumping for joy on third base as the youngster sprinted home.
Tommy’s exploits took place on Wednesday [March 13] in the Palm Beach Gardens Florida Youth Athletic Association Little League.
At the time, Tommy’s team, the Cardinals, were level, 2-2, against the Cubs in the third inning.
With the help of four runs from Tommy’s performance, the Cardinals went on to win the game, 9-4.
Joe, from Palm Gardens, Florida, said: “Tommy has long dreamed of hitting a grand slam.
“While practicing, he has often pretended to hit a grand slam.
“Tommy’s grand slam propelled the team into the lead.
“The accomplishment will be forever engraved in his mind.”
Tommy himself is also having a great baseball season – as after six games, his batting average is .820 and he has scored three home runs.
