Fascinating footage shows how deep snow is cleared in Yellowstone National Park.
Kerry Countryman was on holiday on January 14 when she came across the Canyon General Store covered in about seven feet of snow.
While she was watching, a member of staff expertly shovelled fridge-sized chunks of packed powder, sliding it down a slope.
From the shapes left in the remaining snow, the man had removed multiple towers of the snow before they break into a pile.
Kerry said: “It was really interesting to watch.
“I hadn’t seen anything like this before and watched him work for 20 minutes.
“This man has been doing this for a long time and I’m guessing by trial and error found this to be the easiest way to do it.
“They have to remove the snow from the roof, so it doesn’t cave in.
“The snow is very heavy.”
