Amusing footage has emerged from Australia of cats failing, spectacularly, to beat a cat containment system.
Oscillot, the company behind the invention, set out to record footage of their product in action but in the process captured hilarious cat fails.
“When we caught the video of Marley trying to jump over the fence, we knew this was going to be big,” said Bec Grotegoed, owner of Oscillot.
The video shows various freedom-loving cats approaching their favourite exit spots, only to be thwarted by the system.
“When a cat tries to jump and scale the fence, they will place a paw on the paddle, which then spins. This prevents the cat from being able to launch itself over the wall.”
A customer from Hobart, Australia claimed the system stopped her cat from engaging in reckless pastimes- including sunbaking in the middle of the road once escaped!
As stressful as an escaped cat can be, one can’t help but sit back and smile while watching the reaction of the cats failing to escape.
The system is pet friendly so no cats were harmed in the making of the video- although some of the culprits do appear utterly bewildered.
