Breathtaking footage shows a couple sharing a passionate moment meters below sea level off the coast of one of a beautiful island.
Freediving cameraman, Daan Verhoeven, 43, from Cornwall, captured the beautiful moment a young couple embraced one another inside the ‘Nest’ installation by artist, Jason DeCaires, near the Gili Islands, Indonesia.
Daan who originally came up with the idea said: “The current was a bit too strong so I thought we weren’t going to be able to do it, but luckily it calmed down.
“We shot it very early one morning, over the course of two hours.
However, the 43-year-old went on to say that it was not filmed in one take.
The footage shows Adam, blowing a bubble-ring from the seabed before meeting his partner Erin in the middle to share an intimate kiss.
He said: “I remember the moment Adam nailed that bubble ring and I saw it forming perfectly in the centre of the ring of statues and doing a little inner dance of joy.
“It was pretty much exactly the shot I had hoped for.
“There was one shot where Erin is just perfect in her timing and they kiss in the ring – that was the one shot I was hoping for.
Adam Stern, who features in the video said: “In the crystal-clear waters of the Gili islands the sculpture of lovers stands out beautifully.
“It was quite emotional and fantastic.”
