These adorable turtles were caught on camera taking selfies while swimming in the Great Barrier Reef.
Mark Fitzpatrick, 36, a photographer from Mackay, Queensland, Australia, captured the selfie-taking turtles while on a trip at Lady Elliot Island.
He spent 14 years working as an accountant before becoming a full time nature photographer in 2016.
Mark said: “I love heading over the Lady Elliot Island a couple of times a year- It’s got the clearest water and friendliest turtles I’ve ever met.
“They swim right up to you and if you’re lucky they’ll try and check out their reflections on the dome port of the camera lens.
“I spend hours in the water with them there and it’s an amazing experience being so close to them.
“My favourite photos are the ones up close ones with animals- there’s nothing quite like being right next to a wild animal and having them trust you enough to allow you so close.
“Once they’re comfortable with you being there they then just got about their day, whether it’s eating or relaxing and it’s a real privilege to be able to experience that and be let into their world.”
