She said: “I captured the chacma baboons while on holiday, on a morning guided game drive.

“I would say I was about only five or seven metres away.

“We were watching the troop and I started shooting when I saw the female with the baby on her back,  I did not anticipate what was going to happen next.

“In the first picture a female baboon was walking with her baby on her back- the male baboon approached her and carefully took the baby from her back.

“Then the male baboon placed the baby under his belly with the female baboon watching him closely.

“Another baby can be seen approaching them and this baby was quite cautious of the male at first but the male sat down, still holding the baby and after a little while let it go.

“Then the two little ones began to hug each other.

“I was very happy and felt privileged that I could witness and capture this moment, It’s very rare.

“It was so heart-warming to watch and experience their human-like behaviour and affection.”
