This giraffe was clearly determined to get the girl, after putting his love rival into a HEADLOCK.

As these funny pictures show, the adamant bull didn’t let the length of his opponents neck get in the way, as he wrapped a long leg around it and quickly stopped the giraffe in its tracks.

Stefan was at the Samburu National Reserve in Kenya when he spotted the fight between the two reticulated giraffes – an endangered species.

He said: “Two bulls were fighting in mating season in order to be the boss of the group.

“Usually they hit their head to each others neck and body but these pictures show a kind of strange headlock for a few moments.
“The fight lasted about 20 minutes in total.”
