Is this the world’s most extravagant Easter egg? A diamond encrusted egg has gone on sale for a whopping £215,000.
Launched by luxury website VeryFirstTo and jeweller Martin Jefferies, the lavish egg is the size of a Creme Egg and costs as much as a house.
Weighing a whopping 60 carats, the sparkling ‘Diamond Memories Egg’ is is crafted in 18 carat white gold and intricately set with 910 flawless diamonds, opening up like a locket to reveal two 18 carat gold photo frames.
Other options including ruby and sapphire eggs are also available, and commissions take 10 weeks to complete.
VeryFirstTo founder Marcel Knobil said: “This Diamond Memories Egg is not just a beautiful ornament, but comes with a gold chain enabling it to be instantly turned into a spectacular scintillating locket – a truly striking piece of haute joaillerie.”
