This heart-stopping footage shows the moment a sturdy adventurer decided to pitch his tent on top of an enormous industrial chimney.
Captured by the climber and adventurer FreeSolo, the video was taken by the 42-year-old atop a 200-metre high chimney.
The video shows FreeSolo sitting in the tent before stepping outside, revealing a stunning view across the frozen wastes.
He then proceeds to throw the tent off the chimney, letting it breeze slowly down to the ground before throwing bags and other bits of equipment off.
He said: “I started climbing when I was 13 years old. My first climb when it comes to buildings was a 125 meter high mast in my hometown. As a child, I dreamed of climbing the world’s highest mountain “Mount Everest” and my interest has only grown stronger over the years.
“What I love most with climbing is the feeling of calm and inner harmony that spreads in the body.
“When it comes to fear, it’s very rare that I will be affected within the climb. When you get scared something went wrong and then it’s just the fear that saves your life. But if I encounter two big spiders, I’m definitely very scared
“The old chimney where I had the tent is a little over 40 meters high and is 200 years old.”
“This was a big adventure for me. The wind could’ve blown the tent off at any moment.”
