A group of groovy penguins got their very own disco after zookeepers added a disco ball into their enclosure.

Staff at the West Midlands Safari Park added the disco ball to provide enrichment, as the reflections mimic the glints of fish they would hunt for naturally in the wild.

The penguins were thrilled by the feature and even more interested that the disco ball could be a source of food at the park in April, this year.

A spokesperson from the Safari Park said: “It gave them something to chase and was just something a little bit different that the keepers thought they would like, as they are generally quite inquisitive creatures.”
