New opening to Fissure 20 is releasing fresh molton lava to flow out and travel down the Puna District of Hawaii’s big island.
The opening was captured on film on Thursday 17th of May, by photographer, Joseph Anthony, who is within the exclusion zone close to the town of Pahoa.
The new opening can be seen bubbling with magma and flowing fast.
The lava flow is getting closer towards the Pacific Ocean after the volcano, Kilauea has been erupting for over 2-weeks now.
Experts are worried a huge explosion is imminent as ash clouds have been seen rising thousands of feet into the air over the last couple of days.
