Lucky strangers in New York were ambushed by 10,000 of flowers in a feel good stunt for International Day of Happiness.
Armed with 10,000 roses, kind-hearted volunteers worked all day to hand out the free blooms to the public.
Organised by online flourist, ProFlowers, the team were inspired by research that revealed a link between happiness and fresh flowers.
Also known as Happiness Day, 20th March has been celebrated by acts of kindness since 2013.
Laura Szeliga from ProFlower said: “At ProFlowers, we’re in the flower gifting business – but more importantly, we’re in the business of making people happy.
“It’s what we do, day in and day out.
“We selected the gift of multi-coloured roses because they are lively and exciting – the perfect symbol to celebrate Happiness Day.
“What better way to create Happiness than with beautiful, fresh and colourful flowers.”
