This female cheetah was certainly not short of suitors, as she was pursued by FIVE males in an incredibly rare scene in the wild.

In Clement Kiragu’s fascinating images, the male cheetahs can literally be seen sitting within feet of the female, lining up to impress.

The images were shot in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya, on February 24, 2018.

What made the experience even more fascinating, Clement, 37, said, was that two of the female’s cubs were sitting nearby, too, allowing him to capture eight cheetahs in a single frame.

The female, named Malaika, needed to fight her way from the males for a good 24 hours, Clement said.

During that time, she had to fight off the males on numerous occasions.

Clement, from Nairobi, Kenya, said: “These are frames of cheetahs that mean a lot to me, and are probably the only images of so many cheetahs in one frame documented in the wild.

“I feel very humbled to have witnessed this.

“These frames are not just frames of eight cheetahs for me.

“They are a very rare sighting that I will never forget, and the only female in the frame is my old time favorite cheetah and the most famous in Mara, called Malaika.

“She has given me fantastic action images for the few years I have known her.”
