This is the shocking moment that a daring freeclimber plummets to the ground via a colossal vertical wire.
The climber, known only as ‘freesolo’ captured the intrepid footage on his action camera.
Using his specially designed gloves the climber is able to descend the gigantic pole without injuring his hands.
Being fascinated with climbing since he was just 13 years old, the forty-two-year old says it’s still the thing he loves the most.
‘Freesolo’, from Karlskrona in Southern Sweden, said: “I started climbing when I was 13 years old. My first climb when it comes to buildings was a 125 meter high mast in my hometown.
“As a child, I dreamed of climbing the world’s highest mountain “Mount Everest” and my interest has only grown stronger over the years.
“What I love most with climbing is the feeling of calm and inner harmony that spreads in the body.
“When it comes to fear, it’s very rare that I will be affected within the climb. When you get scared something went wrong and then it’s just the fear that saves your life. But if I encounter two big spiders, I’m definitely very scared.
“Sliding down the cable was just a spontaneous feature from my side.
“I simply thought it could be fun to test and that it was a different thing to publish.”
