Four-time Grammy Award winner Ed Sheeran has hundreds-of-thousands of fans all over the world, but it seems his popularity has even extended into the canine community, as demonstrated by this adorable rescue dog.
Ed Sheeran’s emotional ballad ‘Perfect’ may have risen to number one in 2017, but for three-year-old Pitbull, Zoey, it continues to pluck at her heartstrings, as shown on March 16.
The adorable rescue dog suddenly turns to face the screen when she realizes her owner, Jerry Krulic, has switched on her favorite song, at home in Kansas City, Missouri.
As the opening chords begin to twang, Zoey begins dashing around the table like an excitable teenager, before attempting to harmonize with Ed’s vocal, howling along emotively.
Responding to the song the exact same way every time, Jerry admits that Zoey will often bark at him when he’s listening to music until he switches the song back on.
Admitting that Zoey’s performance always brightens up his day, Jerry said: “I usually listen to music after I get home from work – I listen to quite a lot of Ed Sheeran.
“There are a few songs she reacts similarly too, but for some reason she really gets into ‘Perfect’.
“I’m not really sure where she came from; she never really barks, howls, or makes much noise at all, until her jam comes on.
“I think she’s trying to sing along with it too – I usually sing along to whatever is playing, so I think she is copying me.
“It brightens up my day, I’ll get home from work and no matter how the day went she always puts a smile on my face.
“Zoey is very affectionate, maybe that’s why she loves this emotional song.
“Ed Sheeran is coming to Kansas City this summer, so who knows? I may have to take her a long to hear it live.”
