A model who charged up to $500 to take her out on a date has found love with an older ‘nerd-looking’ analyst who used to pay her.

Emily Kearns, 27, from Downtown, Indianapolis, USA, started using last year to get over a relationship and meet established men who weren’t ‘nobodies’.

She never expected to fall for coding analyst and developer, Noah McCollam, 41, who she initially described as looking like a ‘nerd’ with ‘long hair’ and ‘not very photogenic’.

But unlike other men she had met, the mum felt comfortable with her newly found gentleman and five-months after their first date, she asked him to be her boyfriend.

Since she stopped charging the $100 to meet her, the couple have since on over 300 dates and moved in together, along with her seven-year-old daughter Stella.

Emily never expected her ‘beauty and the geek’ romance to take off, but the loved-up pair have been together for close to a year and couldn’t be happier.

She said: “At first, I wasn’t looking to seriously date, the income was part of it, but I really wanted to find a more established and mature man.

“I knew the site would be just that, not anyone off the street, people I dated in the past were nobodies.

“I went on dates with six different men and for half of them I would go on more dates, I probably went on more than 100 dates in total.

“Noah and I talked for months before we met up due to our schedules clashing and in reality, I was nervous to meet him.

“He was such a kind and caring person, from the initial date I could see he was a good person and didn’t try to take advantage of the situation or make me feel pressured.

“Online he looked like a nerd, I won’t lie, he’s not very photogenic still to this day but as he likes to tell me he’s not paid to be pretty.

“But he has beautiful eyes and a great smile, he used to have hair as long as mine but now after getting it cut shorter it looks more professional to me.

“Noah is very worldly and knowledgeable, we enjoy having chats about the world around us and our beliefs, we also have the same faith.

“It was a shock to me, I wanted to date a more established man but didn’t think he would like me in return enough to want to date or marry me someday.”

Emily would charge between $100 and $500 for a date, when she started in January last year, but after meeting Noah she says she felt different.

After the couple met and started dating months later, she maintains she has not been embarrassed to talk about how they met.

Emily said: “I’m open about how we met to our friends, he doesn’t always talk about it as he doesn’t feel it’s very professional and has to be careful about what he says.

“I don’t really care about being judged, I’m known for doing bizarre and crazy things, so this is no shock to anyone.

“I think to go on a site like you need to be a certain type of person, willing to forgo all previous beliefs and what people may think about you.

“My mom knows how we met and is totally OK with the idea, in her eyes as long as I love him it doesn’t matter.

“My dad is a little more closed-off, he knows we met online but thinks it was through a Christian neighbour.

“I’m sure in 50-years or so our story will sound more romantic than it currently does, but equally most couples meet in less savoury circumstances than ours.”

For Noah, while he is open about their relationship he often describes how they met as ‘online dating’ for fear people will misinterpret his intentions for being on the site.

He said: “I tell people dependent on the group, early-on when I told my mom about it, she didn’t understand and thought it was prostitution, which it isn’t.

“That presumption made me a little uncomfortable discussing it with her, I discussed it with friends of ours who seemed open about it.

“There are still a lot of misconceptions around it, like my mom who incorrectly saw it as prostitution.”

Noah, a code analyst and developer, hoped would help him to meet attractive women and eventually led him to find girlfriend Emily, who he is now ‘inseparable’ from.

He said: “I was looking to meet beautiful women and liked the convenience of the site. I could go out with someone out of my league and let them get to know me and my personality.

“With Emily, she is beautiful, we share similar ideas and values, it was very easy and a natural fit for us, there wasn’t any awkwardness.

“We pray together at meals times, have a similar diet, are comfortable with each other’s body sizes, the look and feel of one another.

“We enjoy similar activities and for the most part don’t have any real conflicts, we go out and do a lot of things together.

“It’s true that we are inseparable, I don’t like the idea of us being separate for more than a week at a time.”

The smitten pair, do nearly everything together, from attending The Indie 500 to concerts, celebrating birthdays, holidays and more together.

Emily believes their secret to success has been ensuring they are truthful and very open with one another.

She said: “We are extremely honest people, even if it will hurt the other person’s feelings we are open to each other’s wants and needs.

“You have to go in for the right reasons, if you want to find love and find a good guy don’t let him go or wait around, like I nearly did.

“I’m lucky he didn’t find someone before I started taking things more seriously.”
