A physics student captured the moment his friend made a fluke basketball leading to an ecstatic freak out just moments after telling him to ‘act natural’.
George Williams, 17, and friend Oliver Wright were partaking in a physics project of analysing the momentum of a basketball during a shot, on September 30, 2016.
The two students, who attend Appleton School in Benfleet, Essex, had tried and failed to make the shot multiple times until Oliver managed to bounce the ball off a hoop and land in the adjacent net.
George, who intended for his reaction to imply they were ‘naturals’ and are able to make rare shots frequently, was unable to hide his shock and burst into an eccentric freak out.
The 17-year-old said: “I wanted to play it cool and act as if it was no big deal, so it seemed like we do it all the time.
“I wasn’t expecting the shot to happen, so I went mental, I screamed so much because I was so shocked.
“Ollie is the master of fluking, he cannot throw for his life.
“In saying that, if there was anyone that would be able to pull it off, it’d be Ollie.”
