This dad-to-be sacrificed himself by being shot with a paintball gun by his wife to reveal their child’s gender.
Stood in the garden of his grandparents’ house in Seabrook, Texas, USA, Brad Paul patiently waited wearing a white T-shirt and just a facemask for protection.
As his partner Tiffany readies herself with the gun, family and friends begin to give the expectant couple a quick countdown.
Once the countdown is finished on August 6 2016, Tiffany splatters Brad with pink paint leading to the watching crowd cheering as they realise they’re going to have a girl.
Brad, from Houston, Texas, said: “I did not want to find out the sex of our baby until birth.
“But, after my mum, Tiffany and her mum talked me into finding out, I agreed on one stipulation that I planned plan the reveal.
“After receiving a sealed letter from the doctor, we gave it along with the paintball gun to her brother to load it with the appropriate colour.
“So, in the video there was only one person to know the sex of the baby.
“As I played a lot of paintball as a kid, it didn’t really hurt me.
“Everyone was divided in their guesses but all were really excited as you can hear.”
Brad and Tiffany – who have been together since May 2014 – welcomed their new baby girl into the world on January 5 2017 and called her Darbi.
Brad said: “Being a man, I cannot say I was hoping for a girl.
“Now that Darbi is here, I love her to death and wouldn’t want it any other way.”
