This adorable toddler could teach us all a thing or two about perseverance.
Little Allison, 3, sings about not giving up as she learn to ride her bike – pushing it along the road outside her house.
The footage, captured by her US Air Force dad, Shawn, 35, shows her practising riding her push bike.
Shawn says that he has a very perseverant daughter and that she lives on Cul-de-sac where most of the other children are older than her and can ride faster.
He says that Allison was practising so that she could go as fast as they can.
Shawn, from North Carolina said: “We live on a cul-de-sac full of great families with sweet kids (mostly boys) that are older than Allison.
“We all often let our children play together and all of the other kids have big kid bikes that they can zip around on.
“Allison wanted to go fast just like them and they helped her learn how to use her balance bike to ride fast and keep up with them.
“Allison and I wanted to get out of the house after a few days of bad weather. While she was riding she kept trying to go faster and was having trouble getting the hang of it, she started singing “get back up again” to herself to help motivate her.
“Her Mom and I often sing her that when she gets upset that she can’t do something. We’ve always told her that if she works hard at something she can do it.
“That coupled with her wonderful gymnastics and dance teachers who reinforce that has taught her that giving up on something will never get her what she wants.
“Now she is persistent to a fault and often times surprises us with how much she has accomplished.
“Allison is an outgoing funny little girl who is constantly surprising us. We have been told by multiple friends and teachers that’s she’s going to do something amazing with her life.
“I think our neighbour said it best that “Allison is going to end up running a country someday.” We have no doubt that if she truly sets her mind to it she will.”
