This dad creates brilliant hairstyles for his daughter and share the videos of it online.
Greg Wickherst, 42, created The Hair Dad to help others learn amazing hair skills and bring them closer to their children.
The single-dad said at first he couldn’t even do a ponytail, but now creates intricate styles for his five-year-old daughter Izzy.
The Denver, Colorado admissions rep works at a college and learnt his skills from a Cosmetology student.
He said: “I felt bad, because I didn’t want my daughter to be the kid at daycare and school looking like a ragamuffin because her daddy didn’t know how to fix her hair.
“I went home and practiced on my daughter. After one style I did, my daughter looked up at me and said “You did a good job Daddy!” That was the first time I realized I made my daughter proud.
“I found that doing her hair is a great way for us to bond and talk and hang out. I ended up making a Facebook photo album of the styles we did.
“I get a great satisfaction knowing that I am helping other parents learn how to do hair, because I know that in turn, it creates a better bond between them and their kids.
“I also like to show that not all dads are lazy bumbling idiots. There is too much negativity in this world, and any time I can help bring positivity to it, it makes me strive to do more.
“She loves to show off her hair! When we are in public and someone asks her if her Mommy did her hair, she proudly states, “No! My Daddy did it!” The person asking usually has their mouth drop in surprise.
“A big part of what I do is teach free classes in my city. I go over the basics, braids, buns, and ponytails. I do it to give back to the community, which has supported me tremendously.”
