One animal lover’s amusing pictures show guinea pig that looks just like a potato – with her asking if you can you SPUD the difference?
Lou Lacey, 26, from Harlow, Essex, believes her adorable pet bears an uncanny resemblance to the root vegetable.
She posed up Peaches, the two-year-old guinea pig, next to a large baking potato last week and has drawn much attention on social media.
The customer service advisor, who owns six guinea pigs in total, believes the pet’s round shape and blonde hair, means she’s a tater-imitator.
Lou said: “I took the photographs because I have always thought that Peaches looks like a potato.
“We were at the local market and saw big jacket potatoes that were a similar size to her.
“Whenever I see, it amuses me, I particularly like the photo of her bottom compared to the potato.
“All the reactions have been positive and lots of people have made the connection of guinea pigs looking like potatoes.
“Many people have suggested that she is too cute to be a potato.
“I’m not sure I have genuinely fooled anybody however one person did comment ‘which one is Peaches’ on my Instagram.
“I like Peaches’ gentle nature and when she gives me affectionate kisses.
“I love it when she curls up and closes her eyes during our snuggle time, it makes me happy on knowing she is happy and relaxed.
“I find her presence very soothing and I enjoy updating my Instagram with cute photos for my Instagram followers.
“Peaches favourite hobbies include – sleeping, eating and more sleeping, her favourite things are fleece blankets and carrots.”
