This gruesome sebaceous cyst oozes pus after being popped at the base of its owner’s neck.
As Dr Michael Lewis MD confronts the large lump located just above a back tattoo as he always does, swabbing the area with iodine to clean the area.
After slicing open the swollen head, Dr Lewis prises open the cyst before applying pressure with his fingers forcing a string of pus to be extracted.
Having removed the remaining yellow fluid, the wound is cleaned before the physician can remove the cyst sac to prevent any future growths.
Dr Lewis, who runs his own practice in Woodland Hills, California, USA, said: “As a family practice physician, we are taught to treat all ailments.
“Our scope of practice is womb to tomb.
“Therefore, part of my practice is treating lumps and bumps.
“I have always enjoyed performing procedures like this.
“Nothing bothers me too much as far as procedures go, however if the smell is bad, it can be really tough.”
