This sensitive toddler compared the zoo to prison as he didn’t understand why the animals were locked up if they hadn’t been naughty.
Ollie Augustus made his perceptive points to his mum Kylie after they had walked around the Healesville Sanctuary in Victoria, Australia, in October 2016.
The three-year-old – on his second visit to a zoo – said it was “not right” to keep the creatures apart from each other if they hadn’t done anything wrong.
Appearing slightly distressed, Ollie then says the animals “just want to get out” and “run away” while discussing it with his family.
Kylie, from West Brunswick, Victoria, said: “While walking around, Ollie felt sad that the animals were ‘locked up’.
