Interest in this stunning desert property has really been TAKING OFF over recent days, as it is the home of the former CEO of aerospace company Boeing.
Situated in California’s Coachella Valley, the PLANE and simply designed Mediterranean-style abode features such extravagances as a 26-seat theater, a 1,500-bottle wine cellar and a pool.
For all that – a house that spans 13,415-square-feet and includes five bedrooms – prospective buyers will need to shell out a whopping 9.75 MILLION USD (7.4 million GBP).
The home currently belongs to Philip M. Condit, the former CEO of Boeing, who reportedly purchased the Indian Wells home for 1.4 Million USD (1.1 million GBP) in 2002.
Build around a central courtyard, the beautiful home sits on one acre of accompanying land.
Bruce Blomgren, the home’s listing agent, said that one of the home’s most interesting features is an area which Mr. Condit called a town square – an area that includes a restored soda fountain and bar.
So far, Bruce said, the home, which has never been listed before, has received strong reviews from home-seekers and reviewers alike.
Bruce said: “This home is designed for grand entertaining, as well as for casual living.
“This home is very well designed by Kristi Hanson, and a quality build by RAM Development.
“The home is located in one of the Coachella Valley’s premier golf and social communities, The Reserve Club in Indian Wells.
“There have been numerous charity fund raising events at the home, all with great success.”
