That’s what you call a close call – a dash cam driver has filmed the moment he narrowly missed a head on collision.
Matthew Morley, 37, was on his way to pick up his daughter from school when an overtaking BMW almost wiped him out.
It was October 16 at 3.30pm when the IT worker turned a corner onto a double lane road.
The white BMW can be seen travelling down the wrong side of the road in Bingley, West Yorkshire, before quickly swerving back into the correct lane.
Matthew was forced to do an emergency stop and swerve to avoid a collision.
He added: “After I’d pulled onto the road, I saw the BMW speeding ahead and that alerted me to them.
“I never imagined he’d swerve onto my side of the road and I’d be forced to do an emergency stop.
“The car was overtaking a slow moving vehicle on the other side of the road.
“It was just me in the car and I was a little shaken afterwards as it was really close.
“I almost had a head-on collision, I didn’t stop to see if the other car had stopped as I was in a rush.
“Looking back at the dashcam footage now has made me realise how lucky I’ve been.”
