This motorist was driven completely round the bend by traffic – and decided to turn off road for a shortcut.
The driver of the black Toyota Land Cruiser had clearly had enough of sitting in jams when they cut across a footpath running over a grass verge.
The incident happened on the A435 in Sparkbrook, Birmingham, in the middle of rush hour at 6:20pm.
Photographer Luke Johnston, 22, captured the dangerous driver on his dashcam.
He said: “I was heading home after a long day in the office.
“The traffic was pretty heavy and everyone was sat patiently, slowly moving forward.
“All of sudden I saw a black Toyota pull out and charge across the grass.
“It was pretty shocking to see really. I’ve never seen anything like it.
“Some people take shortcuts and can be a bit cheeky in rush hour traffic, but this was something else.
“Towards the end of the footage you see the driver slam on the breaks as someone walks across the path.
“They were lucky not to be hit.”
