A jammed lock has caused a man to play the main role in his own documentary.
Wyatt Miller, 19, from Toronto, Canada, woke up one morning to find his bedroom door had jammed.
His roommates desperately tried to break him free but it was no help – so Wyatt decided to film the whole ordeal on Snapchat.
After being trapped for four hours, the filmmaker had created a lengthy documentary-style clip, much to the amusement of his friends and family.
Eventually, Wyatt called his local fire brigade and was released from his bedroom.
Wyatt said: “I woke up one morning and realized the latch in my door lock had seized up.
“My first thought was to kick the door down, but I didn’t want to anger the landlord, so I decided to film what was happening instead.
“I was dumbfounded that this happened to me, and I did start to get a bit nervous, so I decided to call the firefighters to help me escape.
“When they showed up, a roommate asked how often this sort of thing has happened to them, and they replied ‘never’ which was a bit embarrassing.
“My roommates did everything they could from their side to break the door in, but it wouldn’t budge.
“One of them suggested they just leave me in the room for a couple of days because it was my turn to do the dishes, and they would be able to build them up in the sink.
“I’ve seen lots of reaction to the video, but mostly people think it’s hilarious that I turned this seemingly mundane situation into a very serious documentary.”
