These stunning photographs show a beautiful, but freezing, Frozen-esque photo shoot.
The compilation of photos, which were taken on an ice cliff in Crawford Notch, New Hampshire, in the US show a woman posing in the middle of a cove of ice.
Looking like a real-life version of the hit Disney film ‘Frozen’, the blonde woman, who is dressed in a blue dress, could be easily confused as Elsa the Snow Queen.
The idea for the photo shoot came from photographer Jay Philbrick, who has been conducting photo shoots like this with his wife, Vicki, for years.
After taking the images shortly after the film was releaed, Jay has only recently made them public – wowing fans of his photography.
Jay, 63, said: “We’ve done photo shoots like this many times on rock cliffs, but we had always wanted to try it on an ice cliff.
“This one winter the conditions were right and so with our mountain guide and model, Sarah Maillet, we headed out.
“The day was warm enough to not be too hard on Sarah, but not so warm that the ice was melting.
“The idea is to place our model in an interesting environment, and not use editing software to make that happen.
“Sarah is anchored to the ice, and all anchors, harnesses and ropes are hidden by wardrobe, model placement and the camera angle.
“These images are exactly what I saw through the lens – despite people often thinking that the images are faked.”
