THESE dogs are well and truly in the spooky spirit as Halloween approaches.
The pets were all taking part in an annual parade for pups in New York City.
Americans are set to spend just under three million (GBP) on Halloween costumes for their pets, according to the National Retail Federation.
And what better way to show the outfits off than as part of a parade of dogs.
Dubbed “the largest dog costume parade in the world” hundreds of dogs took part on Saurday watched by thousands of spectators.
The 27th Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade saw pups dressed as pumpkins, super heroes and famous faces.
Owners even took on cowgirl, punk and Egyptian pharoahs costumes for the event.
This year’s parade includes a runway competition and a best in show contest with the dressed up dogs competing for thousands of dollars in prizes.
A whole host of breeds were paraded one by one before the judges at the event which helps to raise money for the Tompkins Square Park’s run.
Jenny Sepulveda, 40, from New York dressed her dog as a peacock for the day.
She said: “This is the first year we have done this but I saw the outfit and thought it looked cute.
“My kids are all grown up now so I like taking Ash out.
“I found the outfit on Amazon and thought it looked cute.”
Skylar Piano, 18, dressed her dog Harry as a punk.
The New Yorker said:”‘It was my mum’s idea. She wanted something that would get involved with too get involved with the theme.
“This is Harry’s second year. Last time he went as a rainbow unicorn. He wanted something a little more edgy this year.”
