“Get off mum!” – A baby deer appears to shrug off mums sign of affection.
Russ Bridges, 42, from Rotherham South Yorkshire, captured the sweet encounter at Lotherton Hall near Leeds.
After observing the heard for 45 minutes, Russ watched at the mother appeared to lick her baby clean as a sign of affection.
However, seemingly unimpressed, the young fawn turned his head and shrugged her off.
Russ, a Warehouse Shift manager, said: “There were a large heard of hinds with their young in the main park of Lotherton Hall, the young fawns were jumping around and feeding but were paying attention to my every move.
“The hind seen licking the young deer seems to be some sign of affection, a special moment, which was lovely to witness.”
