Looking at these waterbuck can leave you feeling like you’re seeing double.
The strange creature in the photos appears to have two heads growing out of the same neck.
In fact, the two waterbuck are stood extremely close together, with one staying down the camera lens and the second surveying the savannah.
The long hair of the waterbucks’ necks blends the two together.
The pictures were taken by 17-year-old high school student Travis Joshua from Pretoria, South Africa, who spotted the animals on a trip with a friend along the Chobe River in Botswana.
Travis said: “There are two waterbuck standing together, but they are standing so close to each other and in such a way that it looks like there is just the one with two heads.
“The bucks also look similar and both have their mouths closed, so it really looks like the faces belong to the same animal.
“I think the image comes alive and is really comical.
“It’s a good optical illusion that really makes people I have shown it two think, especially if you focus on their heads.
“I’m really pleased I managed to spot the two of them together and photograph them in this way. I love the image.”
