Brits are at their most boring aged 37.
A new study has found we hit peak boring on average aged 37-years-old – with women reaching the dubious milestone two years before men at just 35.
Airbnb has drafted up a list of its unusual experiences to tackle the so-called mid-life slump largely caused by growing responsibilities.

James McClure from Airbnb said: “It’s undoubtedly pretty tough to maintain your sense of adventure and youthful joie de vivre in the face of nappy changes, parents’ evenings and the daily school run; ‘to adult’ is arguably a verb in its own right.
“However, we’re firm believers in incorporating new challenges and opportunities into your daily life to keep things fresh and exciting, whatever your age.
“Hence why we’ve come up with this list of Experiences to provide inspiration for those who might not have time to seek it out by themselves – or, like the older generation, who struggle to fill their time.”
Of all 30 to 39-year-olds polled, 15% say they have become more boring since meeting their partner, while one in five thinks their sense of adventure has nose-dived since having kids.
Conversely, 27 was hailed as the time Brits are at their most adventurous, showing how much can change in the space of a decade.
According to those polled, the top signs of being at your most adventurous are:
Staying out until the early hours on a weekday
Trying a new hobby
Going out of the way to make a new friend
Booking a spontaneous holiday
Learning a new skill
Visiting a friend unannounced
Changing jobs
Going on a spontaneous shopping trip
Asking someone out
Trying a new sport
In response to their own research which found 37 to be the average age Brits are at their most boring, Airbnb have pulled together the ultimate dullness deterrence to-do list.

The online holiday giant which introduced experiences to its global accommodation-based site last year suggests its obscure activities on offer will blast away boring tendencies.
Experiences in Britain include burlesque dancing, stand-up-paddleboard yoga, spies of Westminster, lawn bowling and photography tips from a pro.
Passions shared by hosts on Airbnb to have a go at when abroad span from fire spinning in Miami to sailing on the Bay in San Francisco.

The survey showed that Brits get a new lease of life aged 50 and over as they start being able to take advantage of the free time that comes with approaching retirement age.
The older age group were 22% more likely to book a spontaneous holiday than those in their thirties and 11% more likely to splurge on a fancy meal out.
