This warthog is as happy as a pig in muck as it’s pictured enjoying an epic mud bath in Kenya.

The playful pig rolled around for several minutes covering itself entirely during the grubby dip at a mud hole in the Masai Mara.

The funny scene was caught on camera by German wildlife photographer, Ingo Gerlach.

The 64-year-old said: “When we saw them we just laughed and laughed.

“The warthog rolled around for ages covering every inch of its skin with mud.

“They don’t like to have too many annoying ticks and insects on their bodies and the dense mud helps prevent this.

“It’s like a mud pack, once it dries up it holds for a few days.

“After that they look for a new mud hole and start all over again.”
