A chihuahua puppy was rescued after being abandoned in a bathroom with a heart breaking note about his ‘abusive’ past.
Chewy was left in Las Vegas airport after his owner fled from her ‘abusive boyfriend’ but couldn’t afford the ticket for her three-month-old dog, claimed the letter that was found next to Chewy.
The hand written note read: “She didn’t want to leave me with all her heart but she has no other option.
“My ex-boyfriend kicked my dog when we were fighting and he has a big knot on his head. He probably needs a vet.
“I love Chewy sooo much – please love and take care of him.”
Chewy, who weighs just 3lbs, was picked up by Connor and Millie’s Dog Rescue (CMDR), who are now searching for an appropriate home.
A spokesperson for CMDR shelter said: “He appears to be part Chihuahua and ether Pomeranian or Papillon.
“He is all puppy and is teething. He has had a fecal test and a dog flu shot and will get the rest of his shots and microchip in a few weeks and then will be neutered when he is old enough.
“CMDR wants to somehow letting the owner know that he is safe and if she is in a safe place and wants him back we will make it happen.
“That being said there are thousands of Chewy type dogs out there in shelters all over the country and for people to go to a shelter or rescue to adopt a pet instead of buying one from a breeder.”
