Early on in her pregnancy Katie Scott discovered her unborn baby was fighting for her life and was advised to terminate the pregnancy.

When Harlow was born in October 2016 she was diagnosed with lissencephaly, a rare genetic disorder which impacts brain development.

Since then, doctors have said three times she would die but she has continued to defy their predications.

Without a cure, mum Katie started selling t-shirts online to help cover costs for her daughter’s treatment.

Hope for Harlow includes accessories, as well as mother and baby outfits, that raise funds and awareness for lissencephaly.

Katie said: “When I started, I made shirts that just said Hope for Harlow with fabric paint, nothing special, and then slowly more people found out about Harlow and wanted to follow her journey and so I would slowly start to upgrade the equipment with any left over money from her hospital bills and here we are today.

“It is only for Harlow that’s why I started it. I can’t go back to work and I can’t leave it all on my husband if she’s going to fight, then so will I.

“I have to help out in any way I can. I seriously am blown away by the kind hearts of her supporters I couldn’t have ever dreamed it would go this far but I am so grateful it has.

“I would love to open a little shop dedicated to Harlow so people could come in and meet her and hang out. A girl can dream.”

Harlow was diagnosed with hydrocephalus during a 20 week scan and when she born it was discovered she also had LIS.

Katie said: “When she came out and had a whole four other diagnosis to go with her hydro it was very scary.

“Being her mum is scary, heart-breaking, beautiful, and exciting and interesting.

“Harlow is little miss sassy, she truly has her own attitude.

“But what I love the most about her is she’s a fighter.

“The doctors have told us she probably should have died three times by now.

“She has so much in herself that I’m proud of her for.She is one of a kind, truly.

“I know every parent says that about their kids but Harlow is magical I swear.
