A pizza addict has transformed herself from ‘fat frump to flirty 30’ after dropping HALF her body weight.
Rebecca Lee, from Sydney, was so ashamed of her bulging size 22 waistline that she refused to go outdoors – something that left her weighing 116 kilos (18.2 stone).
Doctors warned the pizza addict that her weight was crushing her organs which would prevent her from ever having a family of her own.
Rebecca, 30, was so distraught after being told her weight was dramatically affecting her health, she decided to kick start her transformation – and has since lost an incredible 36 kilos (5.6 stone).
For the first time in her life, 80kg Rebecca feels ready to showcase her new size 12 body and after having a boob reconstruction, is finally looking for love.
Rebecca, an office worker, said: “I was overweight and frumpy before I started my weightloss journey.
“I was housebound and eating unhealthy snacks 24/7.
“One of my biggest cravings was pizza and I’d eat a large one to myself every day.
“But after being warned by doctors that my frame was crushing my organs, I decided enough was enough.
“I couldn’t bare the thought of being obese for the rest of my life.
“So I ditched the takeaways and pizza and I’m now a healthy size 12.
“I’m so proud of everything I have achieved and now I can’t wait to find love.”
Rebecca – who had never documented her weightloss journey before – recently decided to showcase her amazing transformation on social media.
She added: “When people look at my before photos they didn’t know how sad I was or how much I cried.
“I hated being housebound but I didn’t haven’t the confidence to go outside.
“I had tried to lose weight for years but nothing worked until recently.
“After being told there was a chance that I couldn’t have kids due to my size I knew it was now or never. It was the wakeup call I needed to turn my life around.
“I started going to the gym three times a week and pushed myself in ways that I never have before.”
Rebecca used the weightlifting machines and treadmill while at the gym – and was even laughed at and mocked by a group of schoolboys which tested her confidence.
She said: “I finally got the courage to go to the gym and I was being laughed at by a group of boys that were standing behind me.
“They were mocking my weight so I could hear, it just ripped through any confidence that I had.
“I don’t know how people could be so cruel to someone they don’t even know.”
Rebecca, who is now looking for love, finally feels confident to find the man of her dreams after losing 36 kilos and having a boob reconstruction.
She said: “After losing half my body weight, I noticed my breasts began to sag so I went to a plastic surgeon for a consultation.
“I was told a boob job wouldn’t work as it would be like ‘putting a tennis ball in a sock ‘and a reconstruction was the only option.
“It was something I wanted to do for myself and for my confidence and despite being scared it was the best thing I’ve done.”
Rebecca has shared her ordeal on social media and is hoping her story prompts others to speak out about their battles.
She said: “I was out partying every weekend trying to find myself, I didn’t know who I was or what I liked.
“I needed a new hobby, I didn’t want to be that person anymore.
“If you don’t like the person you are today, you don’t have to be that person tomorrow.
“The girl in the before photos was so sad and she didn’t want to wake up the next day.
” I’m proud of myself and my journey, I’m a new person and can’t wait to find that special person.”
