Feeling the heat? This brave photographer decided to bare his legs next to a red-hot VOLCANO.
While most people might stand well back, daring Mikhail Korostelev got nail-bitingly close to the bubbling lava.
He’d been visiting the active Erta Ale volcano for the third time, during a trip to Ethiopia – and he’s already planning his next visit.
Adventurous Mikhail, 34, from Moscow, Russia, said: “We were standing right at the edge off the lava lake, and lava pieces were flying directly towards us – it was splendid!
“We spent two nights on top of the volcano and enjoyed the views of the lava lake from different sides, depending on the wind direction.
“When you are at the edge of this volcano lake it feels like time stops, and you can enjoy this view permenantly.
“The starry skies make this view surreal – it’s my favourite place on Earth.”
