A man who had planned to propose to his girlfriend on holiday but was forced to cancel the trip because of COVID-19 recreated a tropical scenery in his house to ask her the big question.
Art Director Tom Anderson, 36, from Louisville, Kentucky, had planned a holiday to the Cayman Islands to propose to his girlfriend, Marketing Manager Katie Floyd, 34.
Unfortunately, the lovers’ trip was cancelled due to COVID-19, but Tom got creative and used some inflatable palms and animals to recreate a holiday scenery in their living room.
On April 18, he finally asked the big question to Katie, who said yes.
Tom said: “Before the proposal I was confident, but nervous, and excited building up to the proposal.
“I was trying to remember everything I wanted to say during the proposal and somehow got it all out.
“I was elated after she said yes!”
