This is the heartwarming moment a nursing home resident teared up after receiving a pillow printed with a photograph of his late wife.
Resident at Thistleton Lodge nursing home in Preston, UK, Ken Benbow, 94, had been married to his wife Ada Benbow for 75 years when she sadly passed away in 2019.
In April 2020, Ken received a touching gift from the staff at Thistleton Lodge.
Worker at the care house Kia Mariah Tobin gave Ken a pillow with Ada’s photograph printed on it, and the man broke into tears in a video that has since gone viral with over 200,000 views.
Manager at Thistleton Lodge, Kevin Moore said: “They were married 75 years and as you can see from the video, loved her with everything he had!
“When she passed away, he was heartbroken as you can imagine, but all he could say was that he was grateful to have had her in his life for over 75 years.
“Ken came to Thistleton Lodge because his wife needed care not him, but he couldn’t separate himself from her.
“When she passed, he loved the staff so much he didn’t want to go home so he stayed with us.”
