This tiny book about Hogwarts will go under the hammer for a whopping £150,000.

The Harry Potter book was completely handwritten and hand drawn by JK Rowling in 2004 and is the only one in existence.

The rare piece is a green and golden hardback, consisting of 31 pages with texts and drawings – including a special list of items required for a Hogwarts student’s first year.

The book also features sketches a wand, cauldron and a witch’s hat.

The manuscript will go under the hammer at Just Collecting auctioneers and bidding  is open until the 26th of March.

Considering that a handwritten copy of JK Rowling’s ‘The Tales of Beedle the Bard’ was sold  for £1.9 million in 2007, the auctioneers estimate the miniature’s worth between £100,000 to £150,000.

Dan Wade from Just Collecting said: “For rare book collectors and Harry Potter fans, this is the ultimate prize.

“Sure, you could win one of the 500 first edition hardbacks of Philosopher’s Stone, you could even hunt down one of the seven handwritten copies of Rowling’s The Tales of Beedle the Bard – but there is only one copy of this book.

“It’s an absolute delight to read through and gives such an insight into the warmth and love Rowling has for the Potter world.

“I’m expecting to see strong interest from fans who grew up with the Potter books in the late 90s and early noughties. They’re now in their 30s, possibly getting nostalgic for their youth, and earning money.

“Ultimately though, I can see this going to a rare book collector or dealer – where it will form the centrepiece of their collection.”
