An ingenious student hacked his toilet so he can flush it using Google voice activation.
Supriyo Sarkar has done an electronics course in his hometown of Yelahanka, Bangalore, and wanted to put those new skills to the test.
Hooking the cistern’s ballcock with a thin piece of string, he connected the other end to a small, black cog.
After linking it up to a simple automated system, Supriyo is able to speak into his phone and in a flash, the toilet flushes.
Supriyo said: “I just really wanted to test the skills I’d been taught.
“I don’t use the voice activation every day, but it’s good to be able to use something so creatively.”
