The big question requires a big sign and this man did just that and took his girlfriend on a small flight to pop the question.
Ryan Wilson proposed to his then girlfriend, Shawna Aud on October 16, taking to the skies in Lewisport, Kentucky to ask the all important question.
Ryan had prepared a proposal to remember by constructing a huge sign, visible from the air, with pieces of 2×6 wood.
The pair went up in the air as the apprehensive Ryan looked on, waiting for them to approach the sign.
The plane banked hard to the left, unveiling the sign to which Shawna’s expression changes to a dropped-jaw.
She turned around to Ryan, who was already waiting with the ring, a replies with a resounding yes.
The pair enjoy a kiss and enjoy the remainder of their flight, circling around their house several times to allow the moment to sink in.
The pilot of the plane, Chris Conley said: “ Ryan was discussing ideas about a proposal with me when I offered to take them up in the plane to do the proposal.
“Ryan then came up with the date and time to do the proposal as well as coming up with the plan to write it out in the yard.
“Ryan was excited about the flight and Shawna was as well…I was very excited for them as I knew what was about to happen!
“This was a very special event, Shawna had no idea about what would happen on this flight and her reaction is so priceless.
“They are looking to get married in January of 2021.”
