A Lebanese bread fan was leavin’ it when he convinced workers at a Sydney McDonald’s to create a ‘Leb Mac’ by combining the delicious bread and iconic burger into one tasty creation.
Elias Abi-Merhi, 30, may have been born and bred in Sydney, Australia, but the commercial cleaner has never forgotten his heritage, in particular the Middle Eastern nation’s famed and delicious bread.
Heading to a McDonald’s Drive-Thru, Elias eagerly handed over a piece of the bread, requesting that the burger patties, lettuce, pickles and sauce from the famed Big Mac be placed into the bread.
Granting his request, Elias drove away a happy and satisfied man with his delicious creation.
Elias said: “The McDonalds staff cried with laughter and looked shocked because no one had requested it before. It’s a one-off special order.
“The Leg Mac is my own idea. I used to do it when I was a little boy because I didn’t like the burger buns and sesame seeds.
“It was also too big to eat it in one piece and would go all go over the place. The benefits of wrapping it in Lebanese bread is that it stays intact.”
Elias also recommends that if you want to go full Leb, add toppings like hummus or baba ghanoush.
