A fashion show with a twist featured fashionable dogs and one couture cat appear on the catwalk – or should that be dogwalk.
At Parkmall in Cebu, The Philippines, owners were invited to bring the precious pets to feature in their fashion show that has just held their tenth event in as many years.
Ian Maclean was at the prestigious event to capture all of the latest doggy trends, with the fashionistas dressed up in the most extravagant and creative outfits but all of them were handmade.
The pets and their owners take to the stage with some of the owners making matching clothes to their cute counterparts.
Some owners utilise props such as push chairs while others use capes, wings and even dances to stand out from the other competitors.
The judges then deliberate the best costumes and performances of the night.
Ian said: “It was outrageous this year.
“Having the owners participate in the actual show, instead of the background was a new feature as you saw from the lavish, handmade costumes.
“A little over the top for my liking, but they really wanted to outdo each other.
“There were only around 10 or 12 dogs and only one cat, I guess they didn’t want any dog and cat fights this year.”
