This pair dived into engagement after a romantic man proposed to his girlfriend on a scuba diving adventure.
Diving since the age of 13, Chinmaya Sharma knew that he would ask the love of life to marry him whilst they were diving together.
Chinmaya decided that Havelock Island in the Andamans in India was the best spot to dive and propose to his girlfriend, Hriya Marfatia in January of 2018.
He had prepared all of the various elements including the ring, the right mask, the flippers and even a tuxedo styled wetsuit.
Once the pair were fully submerged and enjoying the passing sea-life, Chinmaya takes the ring and places in a more suitable tiny shell, to present to Hriya.
On a special underwater whiteboard, Chinmaya addresses the question to his love and is met with shocks and surprise but a jubilant yes.
The newly engaged couple share a kiss underwater before resurfacing ecstatically.
Chinmaya said: “I had decided that this is how I’ll ask the girl of my dreams to marry me way before I actually met her.
“I started diving when I was 13 and the proposal trip was when I got Hriya certified and in a year, she’s already logged close to 30 dives.
“I was on top of the world when she said yes.
“I have to say i knew it would be yes but her reaction was priceless, a lot of tears in her mask and a lot of defogging.
“We had to end the dive in 20 minutes because we were so ecstatic and wanted to say so much.
“A lot of my friends have a lot to live up to now.”
