This incredible video shows how a sea turns a vibrant pink due to the high salt content of the water.
Paul Drecksler was travelling around Colombia when he captured the video in the area of Galerazamba, which is located near a salt mine.
A road separates two bodies of water, one being blue and the other is a deep orange and pink colour.
The bright pink hue is caused by colourful salt-loving microbes which create pigmented protein to absorb the sun’s energy, and the colour is only visible for two months out of the year.
The rest of the year, the water is a bright blue which you can also see in this video on the other side of the salt mine.
The natural phenomenon has been discovered by tourists in recent years and have flocked to witness this breath-taking occurrence.
